2.1 SOLV takes your privacy seriously. That is why we take all appropriate measures to protect your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2.6 This Privacy Policy is subject to Belgian law. Only the courts of Antwerp (Antwerp division(s))) are exclusively competent to decide on any dispute.

6. Why and on what basis does SOLV process your personal data? 

6.1 SOLV processes your personal data for:

SOLV processes your personal data via the Website in order to get in touch with you, process your possible questions and/or complaints and provide you with the necessary information about the Website, the services provided by SOLV or other information in any way related to the activities and/or services of SOLV.

SOLV processes your personal data (or that of your company or organization) on the basis of its legitimate (commercial) interests, which, if appropriate, outweigh your (privacy) rights (as you can reasonably expect such processing for the use of the Website). 

If you do not provide us with certain data, such as your identification details, we may not be able to contact you (again), provide you with information or provide you with services.

SOLV can use your personal data for direct marketing. SOLV can send you commercial and advertising messages about the services it provides or other information that could be interesting of useful to you, by e-mail, newsletter on certain social networks or other means. 

If you are already a customer of SOLV, this may be done on the basis of our legitimate interests, which, where applicable, outweigh your (privacy) rights or interests. Your consent is free and can be withdrawn at any time (e.g. by unsubscribing as provided in the newsletter or email itself, or by sending an email with your request to unsubscribe to privacy@solv.world.

6.2 The processing of your personal data via the Website is not subject to so-called 'automated individual decision-making' or profiling.

7. Who else receives or processes your data (besides SOLV)?

7.1 Your personal data shall also be processed by the partners of SOLV, service providers and/or suppliers in connection with making the Website available to you and implementing and supporting the services SOLV provides through the Website. This includes hosting providers, IT-partners, web administrators and/or other partners or service provides of SOLV related to the Website.

7.2 SOLV may be required to disclose or process your data on the basis of a legal obligation incumbent upon it and/or in response to a request to do so from supervisory authorities or government agencies.   

8. Will your personal data be transferred outside the EU/EEA?

8.1 Your personal data will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”).

8.2 If your personal data would be transferred to countries outside the EEA in respect of which the   European Commission has not determined that such countries provide an adequate level of protection for personal data, SOLV will ensure that (additional) measures are taken in accordance with the applicable data protection legislation (e.g. the implementation of standard contractual clauses made available by the European Commission and/or any other additional measures).

9. How long does SOLV process your data? 

We will not process your data for longer than is necessary for the purposes described above in Article 6, unless special legal provisions apply to its storage or processing. In any case, the principle that we do not retain your data longer than necessary always applies. If your personal data is no longer necessary for the intended purposes, we will delete or anonymize it as necessary.

10.1 You have the right to receive information about the processing of your personal data via the  Website. All necessary information is communicated to you via this Privacy Policy. You can also request additional information from SOLV at any time.

10.7 The exercise of your rights, as set forth above, is always subject to the requirements and conditions stipulated in applicable legislation (such as but not limited to the GDPR).

If we have reason to doubt your identity, we may ask you for additional information necessary to confirm your identity. We will usually ask for a copy of your identity card to verify who is actually submitting the request. Please ensure that any information or data that is not necessary for the verification and confirmation of your identity is blacked out or otherwise removed or rendered unreadable.
